I was sad to read of Julia's death. Her parents and family lived with my family at Tatham Fells during the war and I met her father a couple of times as a child; as he was a family friend.
Ted Preston designed the coins for Edward V111 and was with the King when he decided that there would be no coronation.
I believe my father had a crush on Julia as a young man as he spoke affectionately of her and the whole talented family.

By searching the internet for Jeahyo Lee I found your website. This blog entry so fascinated me that I wound up reading your whole blog. A rare jewel, this is. Your words, observations and work is inspiring. I thought it interesting that while you are so figure oriented, as am I, you also were struck by Jeahyo Lee's work. Yet, over and over, you have found stuff to blog about that opens one's eyes, makes one think, triggers seeing or thinking in new ways. Thanks!

Love your first bronze, too!
